T Pyx spectrum

Dear All
I had a go at obtaining a spectrum for this dwarf nova last night.
I measured it a V mag 7.6 and R mag 7.1 last night. This is about the limit for me to obtain a spectrum.
Taken with 300x11 sec exposures with occasional high cloud intervening.
It is only in the red and near IR region but clearly shows the Ha emission with little else.

Well done!
We need as many spectra as we can get - this is basically a southern hemisphere object - we can make significant contributions!!

A second attempt.
I took another spectrum last night and have superimposed it on the previous nights spectrum. There isn't much change but at least it shows that my technique is reasonably consistent.

Terry,
A page has been set up on the ARAS web:
http://astrosurf.com/aras/surveys/novae/tpyx/tpyx.htm

There seems to be some detail around the Ha that doesn't show up on your spectrum??.
What exposures were you using?

My exposures are 5 x 300s combined in Iris. More would be better but the weather hasn't been kind.
