Stellarium Scope with Gemini

I recently posted a thread about getting Stellarium Scope to work with the Gemini 2 which I had no successful answers to

After some advice from Marty I was able to construct a DB9 to RJ12 cable specific to the Gemini 2

I had succesfully used the previous version of Stellarium Scope with the EQ6, via a USB to RS232 converter and a similar cable provided with the EQ6 plugged into the handset and as the latest version of Stellarium Scope includes a Gemini.net driver option I was keen to use Stellarium with the G11

I tried using Stellarium Scope via the straight USB(b) plug on the Gemini control panel but it would not communicate with the mount.

However with the newly built (mode 1 or 2 cable schematics available from Tom Hilton Gemini Site) RJ12 cable plugged into Serial Port 1 on the Gemini 2, I successfully static tested slewing etc using Stelarium Scope

Trevor

Never mind the silence on this post, I'm interested!

What mode did you end up going with? There are three options...

And what did you do with the jumper pins in the G2 unit to make this possible?

And have you plugged this setup into serial port #1 ?

I'm no electronics whiz... so I may need a bit of help.

I've got a spare DB9 to RJ plug here... ready to solder etc.

Fingers crossed that I can get Alignmaster to work with THIS setup... trying everything
