Sun 2 April

Now THATS what I call activity!

See a preview attached or klick here:http://darkchamber.de/astro/images/s...k-11-04-02.jpg
for a larger view (about 3200x1600pixel). Preview is attached. I was quite pleased with the seeing (mind you, I'm imaging right out of a 250.000 people town with quite some local influences!). Hope you like it!

Thanks for your generous motivating comments, really appreciate them!

I was trying to make an animation of one of the ARs on the solar surface that day, walking through the complete PST tuning range, left to right. This was tedious as the mount was 10 meters away from my recording location (mount in the sun, me and the laptop on the shadowed terrace ) and my PST tuning ring is not motorized yet. 32 different Halpha tunings later ...

Alas, I was not doing flatfields, I tried to counteract this in the imaging process state but failed. I will retry that kind of animation with flats soon.

So this animation looks strange, but not uninteresting, I think. It's 19MB, so please give it some time to load: http://darkchamber.de/astro/images/s...n-11-04-02.gif
