Abell 31

Hi folks!

This week I build up my mount on my balcony. Nice weather but a lot of cirrus. But I kept on, here the result of 3 nights. 26x900s Ha and 12x300s for every channel in RGB. Done with the Moravian G2-8300 and Pentax75.
Abell 31 is a very weak but large planetary nebula in Cancer.

Hey that's a nice job Werner. I like faint planetaries and this is another good example of one.

Cheers

Hi Werner,

Great to see pics of rarely imaged objects. There are so many of them up there but people (myself included ) tend to concentrate on the bright, shiny ones.

Amazing detail on this. Looks like a faint bubble inside the red nebulosity!

Werner,

That is a great target. And, well done on chasing 15-minute exposures. Awesome. : )

Very nice Werner. This must be a faint one. Loads of exposure and so little to show for it.
Tough targets are always fun when processing to see what you end up with.

Well done.

Thank you for all the nice comments! It is not a real stunner but it is a challenge to capture such a faint object.
But my next object will be a brighter one.

Cheers

Werner
