Afternoon Sun - 23 March 2011

Hi all

I came home from work feeling awful - start of a cold! It was 3pm and I thought....mmmmm.....the Sun is out!
The images were taken between 3-4pm Brisbane time.
Lunt 60 / Ha DMK31 and processed in Registax5.
After missing the Sun on the weekend I was pleased I made the effort....cough!

1. AR 1175 (departing area)
2. AR 1176 (rounded the limb over the past day or two)
3. AR 1178 (New, not numbered yet but I think will be soon)
4. Prom action

Thanks for looking!

Glad you captured those AR's its always good when there near the limb adds that extra bit to the field.AR 1176 seems to be showing promise for some good activity hopefully some nice filaments.

Good stuff there Matt, nice proms.

Reckon Solar imaging would be the way to go for sure, if suffering flu like symptoms.

Can just imagine the Doctors prescription;

Go home take 3 AR's & 1 prom then go to bed.

Thanks for making the effort.
Regards
Trevor

PS; Must stay in touch to see how 3 AR's & 1 prom compare with a few Saturns as a cold remedy.
