Unitron finder & GSO 10:1 focuser

Hi all,

I've got a couple of items surplus to my needs.

1: Unitron 8X50 right angle correct image finderscope, with or without bracket as bracket is for an SCT (bracket pic to follow). In fantastic condition, helical focuser, tiny scratches on white body (you have to look very hard), and optically 100% (yes, a little dust, that's all). $180 express posted without bracket, $210 with bracket. Sold, thanks Ian

2: GSO 10:1 2" focuser with 1.25" adaptor. Very smooth action, and great condition, $100 express posted. Sold, thanks Andy.
Alex.

Hi Alex

What size tube does the focuser fit?

Cheers

Hi John,

I believe it would be for a 10" scope, I can't tell you the exact 'tube' size. If you're making your own scope, you may find you'll need to do some clever spacer work to fit most focusers to a round tube to either increase or decrease the 'radius' of the fitting surface. These can be fitted to a flat focuser board too.

That's what I had to do with the focuser on my big dob. It was 'curved' for a round tube, I just laid it on top of my flat focuser board, and the little segments of space are inconsequential.

Pictures of bracket and lower price.

Here are a few pictures of the bracket.

It is of the 'screw on' type. It's low set as it came off an SCT.

The adjusting screws are all plastic tipped to not scratch the finder scope.

In great condition with only a slight chip off the paint next to one of the screws (seen in the forth picture on inside of the rear ring).

New prices, $180 bracket and finder post included. Sold, thanks Ian.

$90 focuser, post included. Sold, thanks Andy

Cheers,

Alex.
