NGC 3359 a faint galaxy in UMA

First light for the SX-AO-LF, the active optics I've just finished testing. After some initial problems I managed to run the first subject. I chose like subject a faint galaxy in UMA, there's a few picture on the web.I wanted to see if there really are benefits of using the AO. Focal full of GSO RC 10 "to 2000mm:

http://www.starkeeper.it/NGC3359.htm

For the first time I had stable FWHM around 2.3 ".

I founded a pair of faint arms that are not reported in other pictures from the web.

Thanks for looking.

Ciao,
Leo

this is a really nice shot, and I really like the negative image that you've created. Notice the reserve another fuzzy just off to the left of the Galaxy wonder what that would be maybe it is a small comet, or a very distant Galaxy.

Looking like the SX AO unit is doing its job really well Leonardo!
Pretty galaxy and well put together!

Think you'll be happy now with handling the long FL..

Pretty galaxy. Heaps of blue star forming regions in there.

Bella immagine di Leonardo.
I have purchased an Orion AO unit and have yet to test its capabilities.
I have not seen this one before.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

Some good resolution there Leo, plenty to see in a modset 6.8' sized spiral, top job.

I like the negative version, looks like you went quite deep.
