There's nothing to it. Just make sure you tighten up the RA clutch or your scope will swing when you remove the RA block. Remove the cover, then untighten the two hex screw, decouple the plastic bush in the olham coupling and place your new worm in there. Easy peasy.
Frank, don't be too worried about it. You don't need to have a scope on the mount while you install the worm only while you make your final adjustments. If you choose to have a scope on the mount just make sure you have the clutch knobs tightened up quite tight while you have the old worm off.
It's quite simple, work through the instructions and get the adjustment correct and you will not look back.
Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. I have a pair of dark glasses and a friend with an oxy acetelene torch on stand by. I will take photos (of the G11).
Are they Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses? You know, the ones that at the first hint of trouble they turn totally black and thus prevent you from seeing anything that might alarm you.
I had to go up the coast on the weekend so chickened out on the swap over. The glasses are x-ray specs that I bought from a Marvel comic (does any one remember them?) many years ago for when I trip over and break something.
At the moment, it looks like I may not get a chance for the swap until SPSP.
