Ulysses Club

We have threads on who owns a Motorcycle, who is into Archery etc.

As a Ulysses member I realised that there must be a few fellow Ulysses members in here.

Chances are pretty good with the Ulysses Club approaching 30,000 members

Which branch are you in?
and are you Silver or Gold?

I am in the Geelong, Victoria Branch - Gold member
approaching my 14th Year

Hi Ken,

I am a member of the NSW Central Coast Ulysses Club.
I have been a member for just 5 years now.

I too would love to find out other members in the IIS fold.
Hope we can get together or organise some mutual rides.

Thanks for the thread

Allan

Good stuff Allan

I visited you guys several times when I lived at Budgewoi for 18 months.
Also went to a few meetings up there at the Wyong RSL club

Are you Silver or Gold?

sorry Ken,
I don't understand the question.
I am a full member, it does not state colour?
Have I missed something?

40 y.o members (Junior Members) are Silver Members (and can wear the Silver coloured metal pin-on Club badge).
Turning 50 y.o. (Senior Member) makes you a Gold Member (and you can wear the Gold metal pin-on badge).

The rules cover the difference between junior and senior members.

"Silver members must help Gold members on and off their bikes".
Funny but sort of true

I ride a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750. I keep thinking about joining Ulysses but never get around to it. As a weekend worker I would probably never manage to going on the group rides anyway.

Hi Clayton!

My ride is a 2006 Honda Shadow also (VT750).

PS: I don't get to ride with them much either ...BUT ...
A bonus is a reduction of comprehensive insurance premium because I am in Ulysses

Wise choice of bike Allan. Mines black with lots of chrome. I just added a heal shifter too. Those things are great, especially as I ride to work every day wearing my steel capped work boots. I use to struggle to get my toe under the gear shifter but now it's just a simple click of the heal and away we go. Here's my baby.

except that I have added leather panniers and a wind shield.
(amazing how much more enjoyable the ride is with the wind shield! ... and easier to handle... best $400 investment I have made )

Note to Editor : We need a smiley on motorcycle
