I've become a Takie

My new (to me anyway) FSQ106N arrived today - courtesy of another IISer. So I've now become a Takie. Woohoo!

Am very excited - though I may need to borrow a support belt from Big Mike - for a little scope its a heavy beast!

Congratulations Pete. I am sure you will love it but also sure you will hate focusing it. The focus does shift around a lot with temprature and the critical focus zone is so small it does take some coming to terms with.

Have fun.

I was afraid of that - I guess that means a Robofocus unit and more expense...

Just when you think you have spent all you need to spend, sonmething else pops up to drain your wallet

Well done Pete,

While the Robofocus unit is an additional cost, remember the dollar is high at the moment... When I was searching the archives before ordering mine, I saw people quoting $150-200 more than I just ordered mine for.

You can order direct from Tecnical Innovations, send Jeremy an email and he will give you their PayPal account. Mine arrived in just over a week.

You will probably need Tak bracket RFB2 for the N model, you can check if you email them.

Cheers
