Shipping - any suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions for shiping a scope interstate?

I have an OTA in Adelaide that needs to find its way to Sydney. DHL have given me a quote of $400+ for this which is more than from the US.

Get quotes from different companies, but one way to save a large amount is to drop off and pick up at the depot - this also reduces handling and risk of damage.

Tony

thanks - am trying to shop around

At these prices, I might just fly over and bring it back by hand!

try e-go.com.au Shipping is quite reasonable, insurance is expensive.

I looked into this and using Greyhound buses was suggested to me. I didn't end up going through with it, but you might look into that?

What about Auspost?
They take pretty big parcels.
Otherwise just use another courier company: DHL & TNT & such are very pricey.

Yes, Auspost very reliable, I sent GUARANTEED OVERNIGHT ENVELOPE on 21st February, and when complaining got letter back saying it was scanned in Frenchs Forrest on 8th MARCH !!!!!!!!!!
Now they are MAYBE refunding few bucks on damage caused by them at least > $50.

Hi,

Well, you could. Fares of $130 return with no checked baggage, at the cheapest times. Isn't that silly.

We flew to Avalon from Sydney for the same price per person as the taxi fare from home to the airport. Some taxi.

Cheers

I approach these posts with some trepidation

Australia Post is half the price of the other companies - with insurance

AusPost for me, but if it's too big for them, then I often use TransDirect.com.au. I've found them to be affordable and also very reliable/careful.

Cheers,
Af.
