Canon Digital Photo Professional - some advice sought

I've just started using Canon DPP to convert RAWs to TIFFs but in each batch some of the photos show up being oriented in the wrong way - 10 will load and 3 or 4 will be 90 degrees oriented the wrong way.

Anyone got any ideas why and how to resolve?

thanks

niko

What version of DPP are you using?

DPP has always been quite good for me, even when batching 700+ photos at a time.

I recently upgraded to 3.9.2.0 -- it might fix your problem?

There is a sensor and setting in your camera that is measuring camera angle. DPP is reading this field and orientating the picture based on this field.

You can turn it off then all pictures will be orientated the same way.

Here is the page out of the 1000d manual, should be in the same place for most other new Canon's.
