M36 and M38

Hi,
I've decided to make an experiment withe the 18-200mm lens, even tho I suspected it would be severely affected by aberrations. The suspect turned out to be truth.

Here are 65 shots of 90 seconds each, at 200mm, f/5.6, ISO1600. it's a crop.

It's been calibrated with 80 darks, 40 offsets and 30 flats. Processed in Iris and Photoshop.

Not too bad

I'd be fairly happy with that

Thanks, considering the lousiness of the lens, how difficult it is to focus with it, and how polluted my sky is, I think it's a good result

Good start but the tracking may need a little bit of work.

Thanks Frank. Actually that's an unguided image, because my guider cam broke. That's why I used the short focal length and the short exposure time
