Full solar disk and AR11164

Got the chance to image Sol today with a very large active region. Some small prominences also visible.

Thanks for the update Paul its interesting to see how these regions develop over such short periods.Looks like we're clouded out for the next few days up here.

Thats interesting solar activity and spot grouping, UK may have aurora over next few days possibly. Don't think Australia gets any Aurora?

John, we get Aurora here but only during the height of the cycle. Places like Tasmania tend to get them more often. Where you are though is highly unlikely.
