That is so nice and would love to get a moon transit myself. Too windy last night with howling wind but stars looked very steady. Storm detail in the first image spearates out very nicely.

John.

Hi John. just wonderful images. Tethys is clear as a bell and the storm detail is great - any idea what the spot is in the brown band surrounding the polar cap? Regards Ray

Very nice work Asi, the first image for me.
Obviously good seeing and you have used it well. Very good detail within the storm and also the long lived white spot toward the Nth pole. Love the resolution of Tethys + shadow in the first image and the very natural look to your processing.

Very well done.
Regards
Trevor

Thanks John. Yes it was windy here too, but it was a rare occasion where the low alt winds made the seeing. I've only seen one other occasion of this back in the early stages of the last Jupter opposition. Most of my AVI's failed because of the wind & clouds. When capturing at 15FPS it pays to try & run for close to the 6 min max time that you can to gather enough frames. The wind died out just before 4AM and the seeing went with it (back to 3/10) just to confirm my statement about the wind 'making' the seeing. I only got 2 AVI's out of 15 for the full 5 mins 55 secs that I shoot for.

Thanks Matt!

Thanks Trevor. I'm still working on this one. Restack, re-everything to try to obtain a better result.

Hi John

Those are superb images of Saturn, the surface details, colours and the Tethys transit are spectacular. Nicely controlled processing too, the planet still retains a very natural looking appearance.

Cheers

Dennis
