We go to watch!

There is a sticky at the top of this section with directions to Mangrove Mountain Pony Club

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pony_Club

There clubs all over the place..including Mangrove Mountain

There is a nice flat dark paddock, Club house, power and toilet. Fridge for beer pie, oven for...pies.

Also heaps of fun loving observers!

Everybody welcome

The clubs being renovated so power might be out

If its fine, Ill be there.
Not sure about this "7 timer" and "weatherzone" of which you speak. I was sure someone at the PC told me that i had to consult the Giblets of a chicken to forcast any weather past one day in advance???

I have done so.. and apparantly the weather will be slightly repulsive...

I can't make it this Saturday; I am away with the family for the entire weekend. I should be able to do the following Saturday night, which is New Moon, if that is also of interest as a second meeting.

Cant make it again this Saturday. I am rostered on at SURFCOM again.
I always seem to be rostered when a night is organised...

Maybe the following Saturday I can.

Hi,

I would be interested in coming along to meet some of these "fun lovers".
The moon doesn't rise until after 12, so should have a few moonless hours.

I am new to astronomy, and have never been to one of these get-togethers. I dont have a whizz-bang telescope, but will come with my 10x50 binoculars and a ladder that I rest them on.

Can some one advise roughly what time people turn up (with sunset at 7:30)?

Thanks!

Hi Filby Phil.

Since you are travelling light, around sunset would be a good time to come.
There will definitely be a few people there by then, assuming the weather holds.
Best to check back here Saturday morning for the latest info.

Greg.

Hi Phil,
You are more than welcome to come with any or no optical equipment.
If weather is OK there will be plenty of scopes for you to have a look through.
As Greg (GB) says, watch this space for times and info.

Look forward to seeing you there

Allan

not able

Won't be able to make it, going to be in Queanbeyan with the kids on Saturday night.

Next weekend though the guys from work and I have the top house at Lostock booked, unfortunately there is no room in my car for the scope once I put the Karaoke gear in the back and the minibike and camping gear in the trailer (will take the bino's and camera though)

I think we're still ok for Saturday night. 7timer still says MM is going to be pretty clear until 4am(ish) Sunday.

Andrew, I think the giblets were off to start with, this week!
