Tutankhamun in Melbourne

Tutankhamun display at Melbourne Museum.

I'm going to go see it.

Going to start saving now. This should be great!!!
The Titanic display was totally incredible, so this should be equal/possibly even better.

I doubt it Daniel.
None were allowed into the Titanic display.

When I was at the Titanic display I had to laugh at one lady.
She was getting her phone lined up on an object in a display case and a staff member quickly came out of nowhere, placed his hand in front of her phone and said "no photos please", to which the lady replied "oh, I wasn't taking any photos, I was just adding a friend to my contacts list"

Riiiiiiiiight.

I probably won't be going until after June. I think up until then is almost sold out already and it doesn't start until April!

Had already booked some time back and going in April. Great to see this coming to Australia.
Looking forward to it.

Be warned, the ticketing process can be a little frustrating though. You have to book online and the only credit card
they will accept is VISA. They then send you vouchers. You then have to physically take the vouchers to
a Ticketek outlet to nominate an actual date and time you want to go, then you get your real tickets.

Hi Ron,

Alas, only Melbourne, so we will make the trip down from Sydney to see it.

Hoping that curse has worn off by now.

Best Regards

Gary

I take my youngest to the Melbourne Museum often. The Titanic exhibition was great. There was an Egyptian exhibition about 12 months previous and I felt this was a bit of a let down. Limited displays and definitely not up to the high standards I expected!

Maybe King Tut will leave a better impression.

You lucky devil Ken, that will be one excellent display.

I saw the Egyptians exhibition in Canberra a few years back and that was fantastic.
