AR #1158, 15 Feb 2011

Got this white light image yesterday afternoon. Seeing was 'reasonable' but had to image through thin high cloud, and get it between scudding lower level cloud. Monster active region!!!

NexImage through 4.5" f8 reflector & Baader AstroSolar Safety Film full-aperture filter, 5 x 5 sec AVIs. Colourised in PS.

Also a link to one of the AVIs, showing some of the difficulties!

Top stuff Rob!

Very nicely imaged. It's a big grouping.

Thanks Al, Ken. Glad I did it, 100% cloud today. There's another big AR that's growing rapidly too - some full disk shots would be good.
