Touch screens on ipod.

Is there a way to change from single touch to double touch, similar to MS-Windows.

I'm constantly touching the wrong item accidently , very annoying.

Richard I'm pretty sure double tap is exclusively for zooming photos.
Would you consider using a stylus?
There are some out now that work with the ipod.

You beat me with the stylus recommendation...

I have become a big stylus fan as it beats my otherwise "meaty" fingers hitting the wrong thing. The improvement in my "Angry Birds" performance and accuracy is incredible!

Thanks gb & Scott I'll look into usiing a stylus.

My main problem is not just touching the wrong item but accidently touching something when I pan and zoom or unintensionly touching the screen, I'm just plain clumsy.

Cheers
Richard

I was hoping to be made aware of a secret setting hidden away somewhere that would let me choose between double click or single click.
Haven't tried the stylus yet.

Don't want an iPad, thanks Daniel. Trying to keep my collection of gizmos to the bare minimum.
