Very nicely done. This is actually a very tricky area to process. You got the nice honeycomb sand colours of the Milky Way core stars yet the subtleties of the nebulas. Mixing in the Ha without it taking over the whole image.

I tried reprocessing an earlier image of this myself recently. But sadly it did not turn out too well. At the time I thought it looked great but not so the next morning!

Greg.

Thanks Greg. I was beginning to think this one had all the appeal of flatulence in a space suit!

Sooo...now we finally have some clear weather in Sydney....no rain, no clouds, just 40 degree heat...that'll test the peltiers

Looks good to me Peter. A very nice shot of this area with great detail and colour.

Cheers

Wonderful image and FOV. Is the pinkish tinge through the star clouds correct, and representative of H2 scattered throughout perhaps?
(easy for me to be picky - I couldn't produce an image like that if I tried)

Steve: thanks mate.

Doug: I used a lot of inverted PS masks....masks can sometimes help in confined spaces, eg elevators, spacesuits

Rob: The pink is probably just a gradient I didn't notice, fix or both.
