M42 ED80 with/without reducer

Hi All,
Had a clear night here last night, so tested the "Antares" adaptor using the Meade F-6.3 Focal reducer (made for SCTs) seems to work O.K. with some considerable light gain (increased nebulosity visible around M42/43) and id say about 75% greater FOV, both Pix were 4 x 6 Min. Exp. at ISO-800 DF removed, Canon EOS300D Modded, ED80 Scope- guided.

cheers.......Jim

Nice stuff. Both versions are nice. Must do some more with M42 myself. Thanks for sharing.

Hi All,
