Horshead Nebula

This is the closest I have gotten to the Horsehead in terms of FOV.

Taken over two nights HALRGB 60,60,40,40,40 Atik 314L 8inch Newt.

It was over 35 deg c both nights and the CCD cooler was running at average -3 deg C.

Had some reflection from nearby Alnitak to contend with but luckiley it averaged out (Refletion came all the way to the Horse!).

Comments welcomed.

Razor sharp! Very, very nice.
There seems to be very little color in terms of the green and blue channel, but I appreciate that region is all Ha and red anyway. Still, some color in the stars would perhaps complement an already stunning image.

Thanks for the feedback / comments. Yes I would of liked it to be a bit cooler to reduce the noise a bit. Also, the reflections from Alnitak prevented me from stretching the RGB as much as I would of liked to. This gives the image a bit of a washed out looked. However I am still OK with the final result.

Very nice Paul, Nice colour and detail in the image. It is hard to get the lower section of dust to show up noise free but y6ou have done very well on this one.
