Yet more infrared - maybe the last for a while.

Here's a near infrared image of NGC 3603 done last night. It's nothing special but I thought I would post it for the sake of completeness. The view is pretty similar to the visible except that more faint and cool stars are visible. More data would no doubt have helped the overall image as some parts are a bit noisy.

Perhaps it's time to go back to the visible.

Really well executed and not the sort of image your average punter can take...

Thanks Fred. Yes I think there is plenty of interesting stuff out there to image in infrared.
