My 2nd attempt at using my 350d on m42

Well i took on board everyones tips from 2 days ago and got much better results . Have posted this pic which is unprocessed and taken at 80 seconds exposure iso 1600.

Definatately a step up Phil. The stars are much better focused (still a bit more to go yet though), alot more definition. Well shot. You're on your way

If you've got your alignment close enough I'd suggest dropping back to ISO800 and try for longer exposures. Lots of noise and "grain" at 1600. Oh and of course multiple images for stacking
