Skype affecting websites

Hi all,

We use Skype to keep in touch with our daughter and husband, currently in London. It does a great job, but I have noticed it affecting numbers on websites. I attach a screenshot from NGC-IC List Generator of Centaurus. Part of the object's NGC name and RA position have been cobbled together to form a "phone number". Similar things occur on other sites. Anyone experienced this or have any idea how to fix this strange behaviour?

It's the Skype browser plugin.

What browser are you using?

You should be able to go to Tools -> Add-Ons (or similar), and find the Skype plugin, and disable/uninstall it.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I normally use Firefox (whatever the latest version is). Cheers, Paul.

Just an update - it was the Skype Extension in Firefox that was causing it. Once it was disabled the problem disappeared. Good riddance!!
