Jupiter Dec 21st in "Good" seeing.

Hi All,

The predictions for Dec 20th looked no better than average but produced quite reasonable seeing so I had high expectations for last night (Dec 21st) when the predictions were good.

Have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set.

I am particularly pleased with the RGB, the seeing was good enough to very nicely resolve some quite tiny white ovals in the STrZ as well as the dark spots in the SEB. There is some fine structure visible in the EZ and NEB, which also has a prominent barge. The NTrZ is also very well resolved. On this night what was predicted by the charts actually eventuated.

Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor

Even the "boring" side is interesting now with the revival.
Thanks Trev.

Nice shot Trevor. Good to see how much the SEB has developed.

Thanks very much Mike, its getting harder to image as it gets ever lower in the west. Due to constraints with my western horizon I only have a window of about an hour to capture data very early in the evening but I am pretty pleased with the data from last two days.

Nice image Trevor and it looks like maybe some of your best seeing this season. Detail is well defined and that only comes with seeing. Ohhh for some nice seeing. Vicariously observing the SEB revival now through others and you are one of them.
