Partial from Kilcoy

I had to wait for the moon to clear trees and cloud before I could start imaging.
In the mean time I showed some local kids and their Mum Jupiter! They had a ball, we all did.

Awesome shots JJJ.I really like how you overexposed the image to get the shadow in detail.

Well done

Nice effort Jeanette and sounds like some excellent outreach work as well. It's times like these that bring out people that would not normally bother to look at the night sky. Just never know what effect looking through a scope might have.

Regards
Trevor

LOL I get my share of sight seers most nights I'm out at the scope.
Though none have stopped and gotten out before, they'll slow right down and have a look at what that weird lady is doing in her back yard. (I'm on a corner block and my back yard is against the road. )

Aah, Jeanette, You have done well, I went with Mark up to a lookout on the road to Montville and saw cloud...and finally the end of the eclipse.

We met a few other people there to see the moon but we were the only ones that stayed to see the moon clear the clouds. Had some questions about the planet that is on the other side of the sun that NASA keep a secret and astrology but we also had some people who were very impressed with a quick slide show of what we have done as well. Pity the weather didn't help out.

Must catch up again soon.

Adam
