Lost my post! damn
Right, start again.
I set my 8" lx90 up with the wedge as a trial yesterday.
It was badly off balance and things clashed or interfered - so I dismantled it.
I started to experiment today and found that with no diagonal and the supplied 1.25 adapter, the minimum T and adapter on the DSLR allowed me 3mm of clearance in the forks. The balance wasn't too bad.
However the spotting scope still would interfere if the OTA continued through the forks past 0* and that really makes the thing flop round with it's offcentre weight.
Question, does the OTA spin around to continue the tracking without going past 0*? (like it does if I track past zenith)
Do I have to do all the evening's viewing through the camera - or do I have to take lessons to emulate a Barbary Ape to be able to look through a lens after the camera is removed? (Much like using a GEM with a Newtonian!!)
Any and all tips, opinions and derision gratefully accepted.
