The weird edge your referring to Dave, don't forget jupiter is showing a slight phase to us, so that limb is in slight shadow. I think that has a lot to do with it..At least you captured Io....I could just see Io on the laptop every now & then because of the crap seeing conds.

I have more AV's to process...that should tell us if it's detail or sensor 'gunk/dust' or from processing?
No Mr. Ving....actually there is dust on the sensor, but it's on one extreme edge....I always make sure I position the/a planet where dust won't interfere with the image. (In the centre)

- there's a hell of a lot of detail as you say on joops belts, it looks like real detail and not some processing effect but quite unusual?
