adding attachments

hello members can someone please tell me how i can add attachments i have some information for one of our members on my desktop but could not add the file on the thread

Basically, when creating a new post/thread, click "Manage Attachments" and browse to the file on your computer/desktop.

It needs to be < 200kb and either jpeg/png/gif etc.

Recently I notice, my hard drive file sizes are close to 200K but after uploading the attachment the file siz drops by half or there abouts. Is there any reason for this and is the quality reduced as a result?

This is not so much for me any more as I have created my own gallery but for anyone that needs to know. It seems to be a recent thing.

thanks mike i did go about it the correct way afterall but came up with "file error"
can i choose it from my desktop as long as it is below the 200?
