The president of the United States is quite simply the most powerful man on Earth, but past presidents have often known little about science. That is a problem when the decisions they make will affect every one of us, from nuclear proliferation to climate change. To help President Obama get to grips with this intimidating responsibility, some of the world's leading scientists, from Dawkins to Watson, share some crucial words of advice.

A very informative program, I always peruse the guides to see what's on SBS 1 & 2 , they do have a lot of excellent docos' scattered through the weeks viewing. The program before the one you mentioned was even better, Light Fantastic: Light, the Universe and Everything , Basically , the history of the scientific investigation of the nature of light and how "we" have used light to increase our knowledge .

Quite good, except that the narrator, Helen McCrory, insisted on saying "nu-kew-lar" for nuclear (a la George Bush), despite several scientists on the program pronouncing it correctly. Why wouldn't the producers have corrected her on that?
