Marantz 1070 Amplifier

Sold on eBay, 2nd December, within 2 hours!

I think I'm going to regret this sale, but I've got a hankering for another Nagler eyepiece!

I've had this amp since the mid '80s, and have loved it!

I thought I would offer it here before I go to eBay.

Classic mid '70s Marantz 1070 amplifier. Built in the USA, serial # 100439, so I think it's more likely to be '76 or '77 rather than '74 or '75.

All the details/specs here, and in many other places on the net.

I'm asking $190 or very close offers.

Weighs 8.6kg, so would prefer pickup, or delivery if not too far away.
Will package and post but definitely not the way to go for sensitive gear!
Packaging and postage would be at the buyers expense.

Note, there is a slight crackle on the volume control, which I am sure could be fixed. This does not affect performance.

Cable for the Main/Pre-amp In/Out is included.

Cheers
Chris

A lovely bit of gear Chris. I used to have the Quadradial version, which also had an awesome AM/FM tuner built in. When it broke down I threw it out, but always regretted not fixing it.

If it's like the Quadradial, the amps are built up of discrete devices, not the usual 70s/80s encapsulated modules.

Cheers,
Jason.

Chris!! Chris how could you? I bought one of these second hand on xmas eve 1977 and it has hardly been turned off since. There might be better amps out there but it is still a top bit of gear. Find another way to finance your Nagler - sell a child or something.

All the kids have grown up, or should I say most of them, the 41 year old is still acting as though she's 14.
9 grand kids, now a couple of them could fetch a bit, I'll have to work on that!

Cheers
Chris
