Fantast Sun Image

Hi all

I image the Sun with a mono DMK imager - I usually process quickly with Registax and do not spend too much time blending or colourizing my images in Paint Shop.
I found some time recently and (inspired by Alan Friedman http://www.avertedimagination.com/ - who I reckon is the best artistic imager of the Sun) did this.

It is not real as such - both the disc image and prominence image were taken on 18 May but they were actually on opposite sides of the Sun at the time.

I inverted the disc image and then blended both images in PSP and added colour. A fun way to spend an hour!

So are you crossing a new line from science to art?

Makes for a very nice image either way.
