Jupiter Nov 30th in quite reasonable seeing

Hi All,

Reckon this would be the longest run I have had for the year where I have been unable to image due to the weather, its been 11 days.

Imaged Jup last night in quite reasonable seeing, surprising really considering all of the Low pressure systems that are moving across at the moment.

Have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set. Oval BA is nicely positioned and there is some very fine detail in the SEB, although no sign of a revival on this side of the planet. There are some nicely resolved white ovals in the STrZ and some nice features in the NEB.

Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor

Great photos Trevor, I've just placed my 150 x 1200mm Skywatcher refractor for sale and am hoping to get a 12 or 14 inch Dob so that I can take some similar pic's (if it ever clears up here on the "Sunshine Coast).

Thanks Ray, been experimenting with WinJUPOS and resampling, so have put the time to good use.

Thanks David, sounds great, hope it all works out for you. Could always get an eq mount later on or maybe an eq table for the Dob.

Thanks Paul, had full cloud cover all day but it started to break up late afternoon. Didn't expect to much as the cloud was coming from the East which is pretty unusual for up here, got a pleasant surprise when I looked at the live feed. Guess you just never know how things might turn out.

Thanks Lester, certainly looking forward to Saturn, just need it to get a little higher, another couple of weeks.
