14" Dob has arrived

Good news. After waiting for months, my 14" Skywatcher Goto Dobsonian has found its way home to my place.
It came in 3 huge boxes, very easy well written instruction and the needed tools. Only took an hour to assemble.
The base is 775mm diameter and my door opening is only 760mm
Luckily, Skywatcher made it so easy to take the base apart, it is no hassle at all. Took minutes to take apart and re-assemble
Gee it's HUGE sitting next to my 10" Dob

Good on you. Don't forget, you will need food, water, and sleep at some point.

You had to dis-assemble and re-assemble your mount to get it through an ordinary doorway ? Ouch...

Nice purchase. Have been thinking about getting a bucket myself for something to do while the imaging setup does it's thing. Are you planning on doing a little write up once the sky gods have been a little friendlier? Would be good to hear how you find collimation etc with a big dob like that. The base sounds lime it could be a little annoying for regular use. Look forward to hearing if the final viewing makes it all worth it.
Cheers

I must be helping the curse. I've got several new eyepieces and it's been 10 nights since a clear night I went out last night but the dew was bad.

Any chance of a photo next to the 10 inch?

Cheers
