usually a Newt needs the primary moved up to reach focus with a DSLR, you can do it with out chopping it up but it is still a pain in the back side... hope this helps

cheers,
tony

Hi Allan,

how are you coupling the DSLR to the focuser of your Scope?
If you are coupling via nosepiece and eypieceholder then it wont work. T-ring+adaptor go straight on the focuser, the eyepieceholder needs to be removed.
If that doesn´t work but only need a few millimeter more inwards travel then try using a low profile focuser. The focuser change is easier to perform as the tube cutting.

cheers

Hi there,

I am going to use a T-Ring + 2" Adapter to my Crayford GSO Focuser...

Do I need to reduce the to a low profile focuser or more my primary closer??
