re shuttle
Is it going to pass over S.E QLD ? at any time on its voyage?
I should have my new 10-22 EF-S Canon lens,so would like to try and
get a wide image of passing over head.
Yes,such ashame it the last time it fly's,very sad
That's 3 great airships gone from our skies forever F1-11s (3rd Dec),Concorde(gone),shuttle -last mission
Might try and watch this left off on T.V any pointers to watch this live?
Thanks Chris

Chris,
www.spacevidcast.com -- it's in HD, and not delayed by two minutes like NASA TV.

Yes, there still remaining Endeavour and Atlantis. Here's lot of information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...uttle_missions You can check it out the topic "planned missions".

According to the Nightskyonline website the launc has been delayed:
"Technical problems have resulted in the launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery being delayed until 5.52 am AEST Thursday morning. More information about the delay can be found here on NASA’s website."
The time quoted is in real time, not "Summer" time.
Looks like an early morning Thursday.

Pete,
It's a good site. Just make sure you hop on about 15-20 minutes prior to launch as it can get a little crowded on there. There's a chatroom on there so you can chat with other people as you wait for the lunch. Make sure you have your stereo on loud and enjoy the view in full screen.
I will post a link here later tonight, when I get home from work, of a HD launch with awesome sound, that is typical of SpaceVidCast.
