Holiday places on the NSW South Coast?
Hi all
I'm looking to have a couple of nights away with the family after xmas, probably only 2-3 nights because my wife has to work on the Thursday after xmas.
I'd like to go somewhere on the South Coast of NSW, south of Sydney, but probably only max 4 hours drive from the Central Coast.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Kiama? Where else? What's nice? Attractions?
Ideally on the coast too, rather than inland.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers

Bermagui is gorgeous but probably a bit far for you.
What about Sussex Inlet/Lake Conjola area - very nice there.

Been a while since I've been down that way but Ulladulla or Mollymook are nice spots, Lake Tabourie just down from there. Jervis Bay is a beautiful spot as well.

Gerringong (Werri Beach) or Gerora - just down the road. When you want something different to the the sun and sand, there are lots of waterfalls and places to explore inland - eg. Kangaroo Valley. Some tremendous lookouts from the escarpment. Kiama is easily accessible as well.

Pebbly Beach, north of Batemans Bay, in the Murramarang National Park.
Beautiful camping, kangaroos on the beach, gemstone pebbles (agates) on the beach 100m to the south, kids love it!
Might be a bit busy after Christmas though.
http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/na....aspx?id=N0025 follow the links for the details on Pebbly Beach, phone numbers, booking etc.
Cheers

Mike, at this stage where you go may be decided by where you can get in. The South Coast is very busy over the hols. I don't know about hotels but camping is often booked 12 months in advance. If you tell us what you want to do (swim, walk, lounge, fine dining ...) I may have some more ideas.

There is a real nice place just at the entrance of Nowra. They rent air-conditioned self contained cabins, there's a pool, you're close to all the beaches and also can drop by Jamberoo on the way back. Go there once a year across the Xmas break. Top people. PM me if you want any more details.

I don't have anything specific in mind - mainly that we want to be by the beach or by water anyway. Walking or some day time activities would be an advantage.
We'll have 3 kids with us, so no fine dining
And yeh, I know i'm leaving it late to try and book somewhere.
