Canon 250D close up lens

Free to a loving home I have a Canon 250D close up lens (58mm thread). If you are interested, please read all of the below carefully. Those of you that know me will understand I'm passionate about macro photography, so please excuse me if I'm being a little particular here.

I don't really just want the first person that sees "free" to jump in and take this. I'd prefer it to go to someone who has a genuine interest to start out in the world of macro photography, can't afford a real macro lens and doesn't already have one.

I'd also prefer that person to live in Brisbane so they can pick it up If not, I'd ask you pay the postage and packaging.

I've never used one of these before. I acquired it recently and have no use for it, as I already have more than enough macro lenses, extension tubes etc. From what I understand, it's just another lens that screws on the front of a lens you already have. It allows that lens to be able to focus closer than without the 250D. I've posted some links below if you want to understand more.

Just because it says Canon doesn't mean you have to screw it onto a Canon lens or camera. It screws into any lens with a standard 58mm filter thread. If you don't have a 58mm filter thread on your lenses, you could look into filter thread adapters (sometimes called step up adapter rings or something like that).

I have a friend who would be very interested in macro photography, however has not had the chance to get the lenses / etc required.

If it's ok, and the close up lens is still available in a few days I'm very happy to pay for any postage or other expenses to SA. Of course if Grady or someone else can make use of the lens I'm happy to stand aside.
