why would they bring out a new camera that apparently has the same chip as the older one? if they want to upgrade they might aswell double the size of the chip, increase resolution and have better low light abilities. Oh and a new colour silver just doesn't match my telescope
For what their used for the chip size is not that important.....making a larger chip would increase the cost of the webcam by hundreds of dollars...probably loosing it's popularity aswell.....it's like what Mike said....USB 1.1 is old technology...everyone wants USB 2.0 now....we need faster data transfer now a days which means less compresion can be used....better images.
