Jupiter 26 October with DMK21

Had a quick play last night - mainly to check collimation of my LX90 8' to try different exposure combination with DMK21.
Meade LX90 8" +Televue 2.5X Powermate + DMK21Au4 + Celestron 1.25" UV IR Cut-Off Filter.
Processed following Paul Haese's article. Thanks Paul!
Any comments on how to improve my images would be greatly appreciated.

I love the first one, it is on the right track, small details are coming out very nicely. Not sure how many frames you have captured but there may need to be more needed.

I dont use Astra Image software so I can't comment on it.

The third one is over processed.

Thanks Malcolm.
I started with 1793 frames, final image stack of about 1000 frames.
The third image was processed the same way as 1st one, but it was taken about 1hr later in worse seeing.
The first image is my favorite so far.
I re processed it using (very roughly) Mike's article.
I think I prefer the first one.

I have only recently started to consider looking at finer detail instead of chunky. There is usually a bit more noise in the finer detail images but I prefer that.

I have decided to work with older images now to find the best processing method all round. I hope to be ready by November 6 when I will start imaging again if good weather.

I am now starting with splitting RGB then recombining.

I've noticed recently one side of jupiter is very smooth compared to previous years images.

Nice result Arek, especially the first one. Paul's article is great. If you are using the deconvolution routines in Astra Image, lowering the radius will give you finer detail but more noise.

When Jupiter is well after opposition, like now, one edge will be sharper than the other because we're not looking at the sunlight side straight on. Before opposition it's the other edge.

Thanks guys.
Paul - when you talk about radius in Astra Image I presume that's "PSF Size" slider in Astra 3?
I've been playing with different settings using different deconvolutions - boy, so many different outcomes.
For a beginner like me it is hard to decide what's a noise and what's a small detail.
Lucky we have so many masters here that can share the wealth of their knowledge with us noobs!
