Really cool new "Orrery Edition" from the developers of StarMap Pro shows solar system, our galaxy and local group members in 3D. Very neat indeed!

I've attached a few sequential screen shots of the view at Virgo supercluster-level. You won't see the proper fluid movement as you finger around the display of course, but load them up and blink through them sequentially - you'll get the effect to a degree. It's very nicely done, and whilst the app does more than this, it's a great way to visually show people how the local universe is arranged. At solar system level, you can zoon right in on each planet and even each moon so see its orbital path and rotation - in either real time or for accelerated for display purposes if you so wish.
