1.25" IR/UV Cut Filter for Webcams

As described. Will thread it onto the Philips SPC900NC webcam for planet stuff.

Thx,

Logie.

Logan, without turning this into a filter debate Thread, be aware that not all IR/UV filters are the same.

Different brands have different cut-off points.
For the Philips Toucams/900NC's I found the GSO IR/UV filter to be the worst so try avoiding those.
I found Astronomiks 'L' IR/UV filter the best.

I hope you find one suitable for you.
Just making you aware so you don't buy the 1st one that comes along thinking that they all do the same thing

I think all el-cheapo's are teh same. I have one as well although they are producing reasonable images of Jupiter i do have to process some of the issues including a significant amount of purple around the edge of Jupiter. I know it is not the scope or the Barlow as my DSLR images are free of that colouring with it's inbuilt filter.

I am looking at purchacing a better UV/IR possibly Baader to go with my lense as well.
