Observing the Sky from 30°S - an atlas for beginners

Hello! I prepared a small atlas for beginners, http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Observi...from_30%C2%B0S, with a set of 24 maps for observers located at 30°S and tables about some double and variable stars and almost 160 deep-sky objects. These maps may also be used between 36°S and 24°S without any notable difference.

The atlas contains also maps of 8 selected areas of the sky suitable for binoculars, with a short description of these regions.

This atlas has a PDF version available here http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi..._30%C2%B0S.pdf (88.4 MB) and ready to print, keeping in mind that this is an "atlas", so the print format for its pages has to be in A3 papers or similar size.

Furthermore, be aware that this may be a "beta version": I mean, there may be some typos to fix (many typos are already fixed, but I don't know if in future I'll find new ones that are still there).

This atlas is licensed under Creative Commons-Attribution-Share Alike 3.0. That means that you are free to share and remix its contents using the same original license and keeping a notation to the original work and author.

From what I have seen so far it looks like a very well done look at the night sky. I haven't read through it all yet but wow lots of info for the beginner.

That looks fantastic, Roberto. What a great offering to astronomical world, and quite a labour by the look of it. I salute your generosity, thoughtfulness and hard work.

I'm changing the arrangement of the charts in order to have a greather size of the monthly maps, probably I will rotate them of 90°, and surely i will divide them into 2 pages, like a common atlas. I thing within some days the work will be ready. Thank you for your appreciation.
