+1 this long week-end in Sydney was as wet as it gets. Unreal. That weather is meant to be over Melbourne, not Sydney

We have had dodgy weather for months and months in Melbourne, as observed by the complete lack of images from melbournites.
Don't you dare send back that weather to us...... Unless the moon is up.

Does narrowband work through cloud?

Isn't it time to switch to radio astronomy?

It's been atrocious in Canberra, too.

I was just thinking tonight that it's been almost two months since my last image. This is balls.

Haven't had the scope out in months as a result of weather, work and lack of motivation but at least there's this site as well as the NightSkiesNetwork to get a fix.

This has been the WORSE year for many years, for us up north. Constant cloud, we've had to cancel quite a few of our viewing nights and public nights.
It seems to have been bad right up the east coast of Aus, and south.
La Nina is now here, and rain, rain, rain.
Make the most of any clear bits of sky!!
We have our viewing night this Saturday (anybody welcome to join us waaay up north) .... clear at moment, but incoming rain for the weekend.
Hope it stays clear tonight for awhile, I wanna catch Comet Hartley 2.
