WANTED - UO Konigs

Am on the hunt for Konigs for using in the C9.25

I'm particularly interested in the Mk70 40mm and the 24mm, but would be interested in any/all..

While I'm at it, can anyone tell me how much ($$$) Konigs usually sell for, either new or on the 2nd hand market (avg price)????

Thanks

OK. I'll take the overwhelming silence as a resounding "no" to anyone having Konigs for sale at this time.

How about the other bit though? Can someone at least tell me where I might buy these EPs in OZ, other than Frontier Optics whom I've messaged but not heard back from yet???

hey Houghy. You've got some Konigs, haven't you? At least I know you like those EPs??? Where'd you get 'em?

Thanks for the help.

Matt, you really are on the hustings for Eps'!

UO Konigs may be bought from Frontier Optics. Daniel Beringer is the man to email or call. He sometimes observes with us at Kulnura. He can take a couple of days to reply, so be patient!

I recently got a quote on a 16mm Konig Type II. Price $125. I expect the basic Konig range would all fall below the $200 mark.

I don't have handy the web address, but Google it, and you will easily find Frontier Optics. They are based in NSW.

Looks like you can buy directly from University optics http://www.universityoptics.com/order.htm

Some prices converted to AU roughly without shipping
MK80 32mm 82 degree =$391
32mm 60 degree = $184
40mmMk80 70 degree=$298
25mm MK80 =$259

The 40mm Mk70 one I have I like but it does require spot on eye placement because of kidney beaning which may put a lot of people off , but with a little care its very nice Good luck keep an eye on Astromart too

Thanks Rod

Just shopping 'round mate. Not necessarily spending, although.....

Gotta do it mate, for the sake of the new scope. Apart from a Vixen 6mm and that 13mm nagler, the rest of my EPs are GS or Optex brand. OK in the Skywatcher, but not the Celestron.

See previous thread re: Frontier.

Cheers mate. And reconsider selling that 22mm Pan will ya!!!!!

Actually, am hoping to hook up soon with fellow Canberran stringscope who's got a few Konigs and has kindly agreed to let me have a look thru those in my scope, if he gets to have a look as well

Nothing like try before you buy.

He's suggested maybe we could work together on a review piece for IIS, which I reckon's a good idea and will make a nice Part II with his earlier review.

Given the recent posts enquiring about EPs for SCTs, it might be something a few folk look forward to?

I'd be very interested to read that review if it is written.
