Jupiter 29 Sept 2010

Reasonable seeing last night, but not rock steady. At one stage it looked set to get really nice but high cloud came in and ruined the transparency. This image is the best of the data, but was badly affected by the transparency.

It depends where I am really. At our city home I use a CGE that came with the scope.

However, sometimes I go down to our holiday home and take the OTA and use the EM400 I have down there. Either are perfectly fine for doing the job required.

Why do you ask?

Very nice Paul,

A good result even with the seeing, I am quite taken by that shot, very subtle and not overdone, nice work.

Cheers

Chris

Mark, a C11 can be used on an EQ6. A C14 must be used on a bigger mount.

Nice image Paul! Glad you're getting something out of this apparition. Yeah I know, you want better seeing. It may come & it may not.

G'luck & here's hoping.

Nice job Paul, sounds similar to up here last night but we had no cloud.
Good to see you putting some runs on the board.

That's a beautiful image Paul.

You've managed to capture an amazing amount of detail.

I'm very impressed.

Take care,
