Early morning at Cubberla Creek

Hi all,

It was a lovely morning in Brisbane today, so I took my new 50D down to the creek in my local park at about 5:45 am. I've been meaning to do an early morning trip here for several years, and I think it was worth the trip. Looking at this image, it's hard to believe it's in an inner suburb of Brisbane, about 5 minutes walk from my place!

This was a 3.2 sec exposure with the 50D and 15-85 mm lens at 18 mm, f/13, 100 iso.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Stephen

Great shot. Beautiful scene - would like to transport there now (beam me up Scottie!) with a glass of cold white and a deck chair!

Thanks for the comments Rick, Mike, Ian, Shane, Andrew and Liz! Unfortunately these trees are noxious weeds (camphor laurels and chinese elms), but it is a nice place to have so close by. Of course you need planty of mozzie repelent in summer!

Judging from my first impressions, I'm pretty happy with this lens. I'm looking forward to lots more playing with it!

Funny you mention that Ian - someone had placed a rickety old deck chair just a few meteres from where I took this shot!!!

Cheers,
Stephen
