TMB92SS Light Triplet Apo

Hi guys,

Finally I've decided to put up for sale my TMB92L triplet APO refractor.
I don't use it quite as much as I thought I would.

It is a great little scope, very compact, it's a great travel/grab n go scope. The wide field views are simply stunning! Planetary is also very impressive and the magnification can easily be pushed.
It is in excellent all-round condition.

Main things about this scope (from the TMB website):

• 92mm f/5.5 apochromatic triplet optics using FPL-53 ED glass (air spaced)
• 2” dual-speed Crayford focuser
• compact 15.25” tube length
• rotating eyepiece holder for quick camera/eyepiece orientation
• 2” and 1.25” compression ring eyepiece holders
• retractable dew shield, dust covers, and hard case
• sales limited to 100 scopes per year to maintain the value of your investment

It has the same great optics as the TMB92SS except it does not come with the feathertouch focuser. However the crayford focuser that it comes with is excellent: it can be fully rotated, blocked, it has position/length indicatiors, 2 speed 10:1, very smooth.

The optics are great, very sharp, excellent contrast, pin-point stars. The collimation is absolutely perfect.

I have not used if for astrophotography, but I am confident it would be an absolute killer!

It was elected Hot Product 2010 by Sky & Telescope and Star Product 2010 by Astronomy Magazine.

All the details of this scope on the TMB website:

This particular model was reviewed on cloudynights by the previous and first owner, here:

And another review on the TMB92SS (PDF file):

It comes in its case with the following accessories:

- AstroTech tube rings
- AstroTech Vixen dovetail
- Baader full aperture solar filter
- GSO/Williams Optics (it's the same) Red Dot Finder + its syntha type base (all metal construction, 4 reticles, 8 brightness levels - in a word: excellent!)
- 45° erecting prism

To my knowledge, this scope is not available in Australia. I got it from the US and had to pay over AUD$250 for shipping.

I am asking $1650 O.N.O + shipment.

I will ship Australia wide in Registered with insurance on the value.

Direct Deposit, Paypal (add 3%).

PM only please.

Thanks for looking.
