NGC 55 my second galaxy

took this tonight 2hours, good seeing, Still no Coma correction (its sitting in a box till shorten my tube). quick process. Hope you like it. This is my 3rd week imaging (took me a while to save up on a uni student salary haha) hope you all like it. Still have to buy the Noise ninja plug in so no noise reduction in this image sadly.

Nice shot

Might need to tighten your guiding...stars look a little eggy. Still more that could be brought out in this.

Indeed a good start Grady, after just 3 weeks you cannot complain at all
I agree about the tracking to be perfected and also longer integration to keep the noise down, noise ninja can be a good tool in same cases but the real recipe to keep the noise under control is exposure+exposure+exposure

don't worry marco more exposures coming. i am still working on prefecting the tracking ... setup last night was rather haphazard (total setup in 15mins) and no polar align (used the holes i made from monday) so i can't complain to much. Thinking misguide was more the turbulence at ground level (about 15knots last night i think) and poor balance on my part ... but tonight i should have plenty of time to setup
